What I believe in is Love, and I believe that God is Love. Because, no matter what point you are at in your life, if it's good or bad or boring, God is always there for You, and always being there for somebody no matter what = Love... I find freedom in a faith that is totally forgiving and uncondtionally loving, a faith like I have in Him.

This might sound cheesy :)... but I LOVE to look at the sky. When I drive to school in the morning, I always see it- beautiful thick white clouds with a bright shining sun right in my face! IT's truly so so GLORIOUS- and it's always there, everyday, ever-changing... it makes me very happy to be where I'm at.

If I were to completely let down my guard, and just enjoy being wherever I'm at- good or bad, happy or sad, or whatever- If I were to accept that I don't have control over what happens and so just enjoy how things do turn out...I think that would make me happy.

It's not about me- it's how my grandparents met because i think it is so ironic and sweet! They were 15, and my Grandma's big sister was dating my Grandpa's big brother. And soon, they met each other and were dating also. So now, in our family, we have two sisters married to two brothers! ... They're 75 now and a huge inspiration- love lasts, it truly does.

Children act in the way that gets them the most attention (at least that's what I've noticed). If we influence children at a young age to show that their kindness and compassion, their sharing and caring attitudes are what get them the most genuine love, then they (i think) will grow up knowing that being good is what gets them noticed, other than violence and loud words.
Therefore, i think people should volunteer in a children's organization- helping them grow into secure and caring and honest adults.

Playing with the Grown-ups by Sophia Dahl. I understand it so well, not just because of her writing, but because of the stage I am at in my life right now. I am young, but I understand things, and I am curious, just like the heroine.

I love all the food! My mom only makes gingerbread and sugar cookies, and my favorite- chocolate chip cookie dough truffles, yum!- around Christmastime. So, it's great to anticipate all the delicious (gosh, and fattening :( goodies, just like presents.

I "house monitor"(aka babysit) some elementary-age kids if their parents go out at night, and they love to play pretend! It makes me laugh to take part in their "top secret" plans of late night trips to Madagascar to bury treasure, then England and Australia and Russia, eqiuped with nerf guns to take out those sneaky pirates! It lifts my spirit to see their huge imaginations, and then become a character in them!
